Our Lapidary and Silversmithing Expertise
At the heart of Gemrock Canada lies a dedication to the art of lapidary. We transform raw gemstones into polished masterpieces, showcasing their natural beauty and unique characteristics. Whether you're seeking custom-cut stones, exquisite cabochons, or bespoke designs, our lapidary craftsmanship ensures precision and excellence in every creation. We collaborate closely with our clients to bring their visions to life, making each piece truly one of a kind. All our carved crystal products and gemstones are produced in-house by trained master cutters in our lapidary workshop in Lima, Peru. All our silver and goldsmithing is done in-house by our associated silver and goldsmithing company in Lima, Peru.
Our Team
Gemrock Canada builds on a passionate team of mineral experts, talented lapidaries, and goldsmiths, as well as professional staff with experience in international export and business administration. Our team is made up of members from Alvar Peru SAC and Natura Minera, each bringing their unique know-how: from the rigorous selection of specimens to the creation of refined jewelry, including quality control and customer management.
Carolanne is a young entrepreneur, owner of the Canadian company Natura Minera. She is a student in gemmology and business management.
Liam Elisabeth is the owner and CEO of Alvar Peru SAC, a Peruvian global crystal wholesale business, located in Lima, Peru. Alvar Peru SAC owns the Gemrock brands. The company mines crystals, produces jewelry, and carved crystal products and wholesales those products on a global scale. Liam Elisabeth has studied business administration and has more than ten years of professional experience in sales, administration, and export.
Stefan, Liam Elisabeth’s husband, is the production and sales manager of Alvar Peru SAC. A German resident in Peru, an educated biologist with 35 years of career in nature conservation, he is also a lapidary master cutter. He is in charge of sourcing our fine minerals, product design and quality, training of our lapidary cutters, and in implementing our ethical and environmental guidelines and initiatives, which have made Gemrock a spearheading company on a global scale in ethical mining and environmental conservation.
