This specimen features intergrown tabular barite crystals arranged in a layered, architectural composition. The crystals display classic stepped growth patterns with soft honey to golden coloration and good translucency, revealing subtle internal zoning.
A small accent of pink dolomite adds natural contrast and enhances the overall visual balance without distracting from the barite crystals themselves.
The horizontal growth and compact structure give the piece a stable and elegant presence, making it both a collector’s specimen and an attractive display piece.
Location: Mina Llata, Cerro Huarihuayín, Miraflores, Huánuco
Material from Cerro Huarihuayín has appeared on the market only intermittently, and well-preserved miniature examples are not consistently available. As such, specimens from this locality are of particular interest to collectors focused on Peruvian occurrences.
