The barite crystal displays a classic tabular form with good transparency and a warm honey-yellow coloration characteristic of this locality. It is prominently positioned on a contrasting matrix of pink dolomite, creating a strong visual separation between crystal and host rock.
The simplicity of the composition, with a dominant isolated crystal, gives the specimen a clear focal point and enhances its display quality. The natural contrast between the soft-toned dolomite and the more luminous barite adds depth and visual balance.
Condition is well preserved, with only minor natural contact. Specimens combining an isolated crystal with this level of clarity and compositional contrast are particularly sought after in thumbnail size.
Location: Mina Llata, Cerro Huarihuayín, Miraflores, Huánuco
Material from Cerro Huarihuayín has appeared on the market only intermittently, and well-preserved miniature examples are not consistently available. As such, specimens from this locality are of particular interest to collectors focused on Peruvian occurrences.
