Several larger, sharply defined pyrite crystals with high metallic luster rise prominently above a dense field of smaller crystals, creating a natural hierarchy within the composition. The contrast between the bright, reflective pyrite and the delicate, white quartz produces a highly active and visually balanced surface.
As a true floater, the specimen exhibits crystal development on all sides, without any visible point of attachment. Examples combining this degree of completeness with well-proportioned, larger crystals are uncommon for the locality.
The overall condition is notably well preserved, with only a minor imperfection on a single crystal, and no significant impact on the integrity or presentation of the piece.
From the Huanzala Mine, a classic locality recognized for its diverse pyrite crystal forms and complex sulfide mineralization.
