Rather than displaying isolated large crystals, this piece presents a continuous crystalline surface, where numerous small to mid-sized pyrite crystals interlock to form a cohesive and highly reflective structure. The crystal faces show subtle geometric variation, with edges and planes indicating a transition between classical octahedral development and more complex pyritohedral modification.
Across parts of the surface, a delicate quartz overgrowth is present, appearing as a fine, translucent coating that softens the metallic intensity of the pyrite. This creates a nuanced visual effect, where reflective metallic zones alternate with slightly muted, almost frosted areas.
